Philosophies on Happiness
So the way I’ve learned it, besides religion, there are 4 main ways people find meaning in life. I use the term meaning of life interchangeably with happiness because I think they are one and the same. Anyways, the four philosophies I know of are nihilism, existentialism, hedonism, and humanism. Nihilism is a bit different, but I’ll get to that later. So these four philosophies are what I’d like to talk about these next few posts. I’ll probably also dedicate a post to why I think people adhere to religion and why I think they don’t need it.

As promised, I’m gonna talk about happiness this week because in my ever so humble opinion, it is the most important thing in the world. One of the things I find so amazing is how easy it is to attain. The other day I was feeling pretty bummed, then some stupid cartoon, Camp Lazlo to be exact, said one line and I realized I just had to decide to be happy. So, I went back to school with a smile on my face and the day went 10x better. One thing that interests me is that while mood affects your facial expressions, the inverse is also true. People who smile more release more happy drugs in their brain then people who smile. That’s actually why people with Botox cannot chemically be as happy as “normal” people. There’s a joke about how dopamine and serotonin are the only two things you ever enjoy and in a nihilistic sense, it’s totally true. But tomorrow I’d like to talk more about how people find happiness in life. And when I say people, I mostly mean me, cause I only know myself. But I’ll try to come up with examples from philosophies besides mine. Until then, keep being happy however you do it.

My Decision
So I’ve made a decision about posting. Drum roll please… I’ll keep posting I guess. My next topic I’m gonna try and cover is happiness. I think it’s a huge part of anyone’s life and I’ve been kind of struggling with it lately. So be prepared everyone. I’m gonna keep on trucking.

mombrey asked: It's not just about the followers, but also about getting to look back into your own views and see how you've changed as a person. Or you could stick to a diary, you gay fuck.
Dear Diary:
Pedro was a dick to me online today.

Debating
So some people want me to keep posting. Actually half of my followers do. But that’s one of the problems. I have such few followers I feel like no one is really getting my message. I mean I could tell y’all to your faces what I’m thinking. So I might decide to continue posting, but for now I’m on sabbatical until I make up my mind. Thanks for hanging in there.

dabauss asked: Holy shit. I wish I had the will to learn things outside of school.
You just have to find something you love learning about. It’s so much fun when you do.

mombrey asked: Noooo, keep posting.
Naw there’s no point. But thanks for your concern.

Well I guess I might as well finish up this week’s topic, evolution. This’ll probably be my last post for awhile since no one reads this crappy blog anyways. In a nutshell, natural selection was a huge blow to religion and in my opinion it makes a god very unlikely. Blah blah blah atheism stuff. Whatever. Hope you enjoyed the ride.

Evolution In Schools
Now a quick disclaimer before I begin. This is a subject I am immensely passionate about and I may fling a few curse words around out of sheer incredulousness for some people’s stupidity.
Now evolution is pretty much the core of biology. To understand the science of life, you need to understand why life is the way it is. This can be explained a few ways, technically. The best, most complete theory we have is evolution. Another theory many people stick to is the idea of creationism or that a creator god made everything the way it is right now. There are a few schools of thought here both involving the age of the Earth. Young Earth creationists say it’s 6000 years old and Old Earth ones say it is closer to 5 billion. With radiometric dating, we know it is 4.54 billion years old. The factor that Young Earth creationists are off would be like saying New York is 6 yards away from LA. That is absolutely insane. Ridiculous. And the worst part is, these delusional people want to teach children this. In public schools. Where religion has no place whatsoever.
Now some people may say, “We can’t prove evolution right and creationism wrong.” That is ridiculous because evolution is entirely evidence-based, while creationism’s only proof is in a 2000 year old book. Another reason people give to teach creationism is schools is the idea that kids should get both sides of an idea that has yet to be entirely proven. This is also insane. That’s like wanting to teach children the stork theory alongside procreation through sexual intercourse.
Now in my humble opinion, education is the most important thing is for a country. The idea that young children will believe that the Earth is 6000 years old or not know the beauty and intricacy of evolution scares the crap out of me. Children are the future and the future needs to be based in reason and logic, not superstition and fear.
Tomorrow, my many, numerous followers, I will be talking about why people believe creationism over evolution and why, in my opinion, they are entirely wrong.

mombrey asked: I don't know much about Social Darwanism, but I don't think it's related to biological evolution. I think you can believe in creationism and be an advocate of Social Darwanism at the same time. Correct me if I'm wrong.
That’s entirely correct and that’s what I meant to say on my post. If I didn’t, I apologize. Social Darwanism has nothing to do with biological evolution, but people think it does. They do awful things and rationalize it by saying it’s what evolution makes them do. And I’m sure you could believe in both creationism and being a dick, yes.
